Job Purpose

The Incumbent will be responsible to carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment in the FTP/RMHS area of an integrated steel plant. The candidate should have hands-on experience in maintaining motors, MCCs, drives, conveyors, switchgear, and other electrical systems to ensure secure and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment in FTP/RMHS.
Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain LT panels, MCCs, PCCs, transformers, VFDs, soft starters, switchgear, and control panels.
Attend maintenance of conveyor systems, stackers, reclaimers, crushers, feeders, screens,



and associated equipment.
Inspect and maintain AC/DC motors, lighting systems, cable networks, and earthing systems.
Monitor equipment health and carry out routine inspections to improve reliability.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with mechanical, operation, and instrumentation teams during maintenance activities.
Maintain maintenance records, job reports, and spare parts consumption.
Support installation, commissioning, and modification of electrical equipment as required.

Preferred Experience
Experience in Raw Material Handling System (RMHS) and/or Finished Product/FTP operations within an integrated steel plant.
Exposure to Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Rockwell, or similar industrial electrical systems.
Experience in shutdown planning and maintenance execution.
