Job Title: Staff Nurse
Department: Nursing
Location: SMV Super Speciality Hospital, Puducherry
Reports To: Nursing Superintendent / Ward In-Charge

Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct, high-quality patient care, monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments as prescribed, and supporting the medical team in delivering protected and effective healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on physician orders and nursing protocols
Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as prescribed
Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and rounds
Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
Ensure infection control practices and hygiene standards are strictly followed
Educate patients and family members on post-treatment care and medication
Coordinate with other departments for diagnostic tests, referrals, and patient transfers




Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first-line critical care when required
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of equipment in the ward
Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality guidelines

Qualifications:
B.Sc Nursing / GNM / ANM from a recognized institution
Valid Nursing Council Registration (State/Central)

Experience:
Freshers welcome; 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred

Skills Required:
Strong clinical and patient-care skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends
Emotional resilience and ability to work under pressure
Basic computer skills for patient record management

Employment Type: Full time

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
