Role: Senior Manager, Data Science & Analytics – Search Product Analytics Lead
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Manager / Lead Data Scientist to own the Search Product Analytics function at eBay. In this role, you will partner closely with the Search product and engineering teams, using eBay’s vast data ecosystem to uncover insights, influence the Search roadmap,



and drive customer-centric innovation across our marketplace.
You will manage a team of data scientists, champion experimentation excellence, and develop analytics strategy for one of eBay’s most critical user experiences — Search. This role combines hands-on analytics depth, strategic impact, and leadership responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analytics Leadership
Serve as the analytics leader for eBay’s Search product, setting the vision for data-driven decision-making and influencing long-term strategy.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business collaborators to define success metrics, establish analytical frameworks, and guide prioritization.
Lead the end-to-end analytics roadmap for Search — from prospect sizing and hypothesis generation to measurement, experimentation, and impact evaluation.
