Job Description – Pediatrician

Position: Pediatrician
Department: Pediatrics
Qualification: MBBS with DCH / DNB (Pediatrics) / MD (Pediatrics) from a recognized institution with valid NMC/State Medical Council registration.
Experience: 0–5 years (Hospital experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, treat, and manage illnesses in newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
- Conduct OPD consultations and attend IPD patients, including daily rounds.
- Provide emergency pediatric care and stabilize critically ill children.
- Attend newborn deliveries and manage neonatal emergencies when required.
- Monitor child growth, development, nutrition, and immunization schedules.
- Counsel parents regarding child health, nutrition, vaccinations, and preventive care.
- Prescribe medications and ensure evidence-based treatment protocols are followed.




- Maintain accurate medical records, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure quality patient care.
- Follow hospital policies, infection control practices, and medical ethics while participating in CMEs and departmental quality initiatives.
