R D Distributors specializes in sourcing and distributing premium textile and ethnic wear products. With a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we bridge tradition with modern market demands. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Fabric & Ethnic Product Designer to develop innovative textile designs and ethnic wear collections. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of traditional Indian textiles, patterns, embroidery techniques, and current fashion trends, combined with the ability to translate concepts into commercially viable products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop ethnic wear collections (e.g., kurtas, sarees, lehengas, dupattas, etc.)
- Create original fabric prints, motifs, and surface designs
- Research market trends, color palettes, and seasonal forecasts
- Work closely with merchandising and production teams to ensure design feasibility
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments
- Develop mood boards, sketches, and CAD designs
- Coordinate with vendors, artisans, and printers for sampling and production




- Ensure quality control and consistency in design execution
- Adapt traditional designs into modern, market-ready products

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Indian textiles and ethnic wear
- Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW
- Understanding of fabric types, dyeing, printing, and embroidery techniques
- Creative thinking with attention to detail
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field
- Diploma/Certification in textile or fashion design (preferred)

Preferred Experience:

- Experience working with ethnic wear brands or export houses
- Familiarity with handloom, block printing, and traditional crafts
- Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly textiles (added advantage)
