Admission Counsellor – Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, confident, and result-oriented Admission Counsellor to guide prospective students and parents through the admission process. The candidate will be responsible for counselling students, explaining courses and programs, following up with leads, and supporting the institute in achieving admission targets.

Key Responsibilities

* Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, programs, eligibility, fees, and admission procedures.

* Handle enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and walk-ins.

* Understand students’ academic background, interests, and career goals and recommend suitable courses.

* Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.

* Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions.

* Explain course details, fee structure, scholarships, and other relevant information.

* Coordinate with the academic and administrative teams regarding the admission process.

* Schedule and conduct counselling sessions, campus visits,



and orientation sessions when required.

* Achieve individual and team admission targets.

* Prepare daily/weekly reports on enquiries, follow-ups, and admission status.

* Maintain good relationships with students and parents throughout the admission process.

* Handle student and parent queries professionally and resolve issues promptly.

Skills & Qualifications

* Graduation or Postgraduation in any discipline.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Strong counselling and convincing abilities.

* Basic knowledge of MS Office and Excel.

* Good follow-up and customer-handling skills.

* Ability to work towards targets.

* Prior experience in admission counselling, education sales, tele-calling, or student support will be an advantage.
