Job Title: Academic Mentor – Hosteller

Location: Kozhikode, Kerala

Job Summary

The Academic Mentor – Hosteller plays a vital role in supporting and guiding resident students at our Hybrid Centre in Kozhikode. This position bridges online learning with structured hostel study routines, ensuring students stay disciplined, motivated, and academically on track.

Key Responsibilities

- Study & Prep Supervision: Guide resident students through their hybrid timetables, supervise mandatory evening study hours (prep time), and ensure active participation in both digital modules and offline centre classes.
- Academic Tracking: Monitor student performance on digital learning platforms, track assignment submissions, analyze offline test scores, and measure overall learning progress.
- Residential Guidance & Mentorship: Help students adjust to hostel life, manage screen time effectively, cope with academic stress, and maintain a healthy, focused community environment.
- Parent Communication: Regularly update parents on their child’s academic progress, hostel attendance, daily discipline, and general well-being.
- Centre & Hostel Coordination: Work closely with Kozhikode hybrid centre managers, online/offline faculty, and hostel wardens to align study schedules, resolve timetable conflicts, and address student needs.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear, accurate records of student attendance,



mentoring notes, progress tracking, and academic reports.
- Student Engagement: Lead peer-learning activities, organize regular check-ins or basic doubt-resolution sessions, and drive student engagement initiatives within the hostel.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Experience: 0–3 years in academic mentoring, teaching, hybrid/online learning support, or residential student management.
- Freshers: Motivated freshers with strong communication skills and tech adaptability are welcome to apply.

Required Skills & Attributes

- Communication: Strong spoken and written English skills (fluency in Malayalam is a robust plus for the Kozhikode region).
- Technical Comfort: Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), student portals, and tools like Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
- Mentorship & Empathy: Strong interpersonal, active listening, and counseling skills to build trust with teenage students.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours suited to hostel routines (late afternoons, evenings, and weekend study halls).
- Organizational Skills: Excellent multi-tasking skills to seamlessly bridge digital platform demands with a physical residential setup.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
