A Physician Assistant (PA) is a healthcare skilled who practices medicine as a part of a healthcare team in collaboration with Physicians and other health care providers. A qualified PA can take medical history, conduct physical examinations, interpret investigations, diagnose the disease, develop a treatment plan, counsel on preventive care, assist for surgeries and treat illnesses under the guidance of a Physician. Their duties depend on the specialty, setting and level of experience.
