Job Description – VMC Operator (Programming & Operating)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced VMC Operator with solid programming and machine operating skills. The candidate must have hands-on experience with Fanuc Control, be capable of independently setting up, programming, and operating VMC machines, and ensure production of high-quality components within specified tolerances.

Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate VMC machines with Fanuc Control.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and technical specifications.
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
Perform machine setting, workpiece alignment, and prove-out of current programs.
Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
Conduct first-piece inspection and ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments.
Make program offsets and machine adjustments during production.
Maintain required production quantity while ensuring quality standards.
Inspect finished components using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and Dial Indicator.




Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
Report machine breakdowns, tooling issues, and quality concerns to the supervisor.
Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and 5S practices.
Maintain production records and job documentation accurately.

Required Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in VMC machine operating and programming.
Strong knowledge of Fanuc Control.
Experience in machine setup and process optimization.
Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; symbols.
Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
Understanding of machining materials such as Mild Steel, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, and Tool Steel.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Relevant certification in VMC Programming is an added advantage.

Working Hours
Shift: 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM (12 Hours)

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
