Design & Technical Responsibilities:
Prepare technical designs and specifications for LT/HT power cables and related products
Develop cable constructions as per customer requirements, IS/IEC standards, and tender specifications
Calculate conductor size, insulation thickness, armouring, sheath requirements, and electrical parameters.
Prepare technical datasheets, drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and product documentation
Coordinate with production and quality teams for product feasibility and process optimization
Support R&D; activities for recent product development and design improvements
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and customer specifications
Costing Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate product costing based on raw material, labour, process, overhead, and packaging costs
Analyze copper/aluminium, PVC, XLPE, and other material consumption for costing purposes
Work closely with procurement and finance teams for updated material pricing
Prepare commercial costing sheets for tenders, quotations, and customer enquiries
Monitor cost fluctuations and suggest cost optimization strategies
Maintain costing database and revise pricing as per market trends
