Job Description – Restaurant Operations Manager (ROM)

Position: Restaurant Operations Manager
Department: Food & Beverage (Restaurant)
Reporting To: Management

Job Summary

The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, achieving sales targets, controlling costs, maintaining food safety standards, and leading the restaurant team to deliver an outstanding dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service.
- Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff.
- Deliver excellent guest service and resolve customer complaints.
- Achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Control food, beverage, and labour costs.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate stock replenishment.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and company SOPs.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and monitor attendance.
- Verify daily sales, cash handling, and operational reports.
- Coordinate with the Kitchen, Housekeeping, Accounts,



and HR departments.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in restaurant operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Solid leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and cost control.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
