Role & responsibilities
Complete setting of VMC machines with Fanuc Controller.
Fixture alignment and workpiece clamping.
Tool loading, tool offset, and work offset setting (G54G59).
Program loading and prove-out.
First-piece inspection and production approval.
Selection of cutting tools and optimization of machining parameters.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and fixture-related issues.
Ensure dimensional accuracy as per engineering drawings.
Monitor tool life and maintain production quality.
Coordinate with VMC Programmers, Quality, and Production teams.
Follow SOPs, 5S, and safety practices.
Maintain machine utilization and minimize setup time.
Preferred candidate profile
ITI Machinist / Turner / Fitter or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
3 to 8 years of experience as a VMC Setter.
Experience on Ace Micromatic, Jyoti, Haas, Makino, Brother, or equivalent VMC machines.
Knowledge of 3-Axis and 4-Axis machining is preferred.
Basic understanding of VMC programming will be an added advantage.
Ability to work independently and achieve production targets.
