Role & responsibilities:
Prepare the bronchoscopy suite before procedures.
Inspect, assemble, and test bronchoscopy equipment, including video systems, light source, suction apparatus, and accessories.
Ensure proper cleaning, high-level disinfection, and storage of bronchoscopes according to infection control guidelines.
Assist the pulmonologist during diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures.
Prepare and pass instruments such as biopsy forceps, cytology brushes, needles, and retrieval devices.
Collect, label, and transport specimens accurately to the laboratory.
Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care in coordination with the nursing team.
Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection prevention and biomedical waste management protocols.




Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly.
Maintain inventory of bronchoscopy consumables, accessories, and emergency supplies.
Complete documentation related to equipment reprocessing, maintenance, and procedure support.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with hospital policies and accreditation standards.

Preferred candidate profile :
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT), Respiratory Therapy.
05 years of experience in bronchoscopy.
Knowledge of bronchoscopy equipment and accessories.
Understanding of respiratory anatomy and physiology.
