## What youu2019ll do:nnThis position involves creating and implementing sourcing strategy for VG in India. This includes development of current parts, resourcing existing parts to achieve material cost, managing material inflation / deflation u0026 supporting materials team to meet production and inventory control.nnu2022 Develop and deploy regional Category strategy along with Global category leaders for assigned commodities to deliver YOY cost reduction. nu2022 Identify supplier to meet the category requirements in terms of quality, cost, delivery and inventory control (including Kanban, VMI, consignment inventory programs). nu2022 Monitor and track the commodity trends and should be able to manage the pricing of products in the event of commodity fluctuations. nu2022 Develop detailed elemental cost sheets for each part in the related commodity. nu2022 Develop strong Supplier - Eaton relationship with a partnership concept. nu2022 Responsible for onsite assessment of suppliers, support strategic suppliers to improve their score cards, supplier evaluation, capability assessment u0026 risk management. nu2022 Supplier capacity mapping and develop supply base to meet fluctuating production volumes. nu2022 Negotiate commercial agreements for total cost of ownership for each product nu2022 Analyze spend of assigned commodity and identify cost out opportunities. nu2022 Initiate, lead cost reduction projects to drive cost outs as per profit plan. nu2022 Drive VA/VE with the support of engineering for material cost reductions.



nu2022 Co-Own the Project Monitoring with the SDE till the time of stabilization of the new part and complete handover to Materials. nu2022 Work along with SDE for capacity improvement and cost reduction, Including identifying new mfg technologies. nu2022 Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System related to SCM Function. nu2022 Demonstrate very high level of Integrity and Drive compliance to the Eaton Code of Ethics and hold suppliers accountable for ethical conduct in all the transactions. nu2022 Responsible for procurement excellence and supplier performance mgt. nu2022 Adherence to regulatory requirements and governance. nu2022 Develop and maintain a high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and changenn## Qualifications:nnu2022 Bacheloru2019s in mechanical / production / Automobile Engineering nu2022 12 to 15 years of experience in sourcing, procurement in engineering company preferably in Auto Component nu2022 3-4 year of hands-on experience on product costing, formulating commercial contractsnn## Skills:nnu2022 Through understanding of manufacturing processes such as Castings Ferrous u2013 Non Ferrous, Forgings, CNC machining, machined parts , electrical parts nu2022 Excellent in supplier negotiations. nu2022 Knowledge of quality systems and project management. nu2022 Knowledge on Vendor development /Quality check methodology nu2022 Excellent communication skills in English (written u0026 verbal) nu2022 Relationship with suppliers as well as customers u2013 Internal and External nu2022 Cross Functions Team Working Skills due to Matrix Organization reporting. nu2022 Collaborative working style nu2022 Analytical skillsn
