Reports To: Senior Computer Engineer / Engineering Manager
Role Objective
We are looking for a motivated and technically curious Trainee Computer Engineer to join our development team. This is an entry-level position designed for recent graduates or junior professionals eager to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application. You will work under the mentorship of senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain our hardware and software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- System Development: Assist in the design, coding, and testing of software applications and hardware components.
- Troubleshooting: Help diagnose and resolve technical issues in existing systems, performing root-cause analysis for bugs or hardware failures.
- Documentation: Maintain explicit and accurate technical documentation for system configurations, codebases, and project workflows.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the testing phase of the development lifecycle to ensure products meet functional and security standards.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging technologies,
programming languages, and industry best practices to contribute fresh ideas to the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or final year students).
- Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking protocols.
- Programming: Proficiency in at least one core language (e.g., Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and a methodical approach to solving complex technical puzzles.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a team.
Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with embedded systems or circuit design is a plus.
- A "can-do" attitude and a high level of professional integrity.
