## Role Summary

We're looking for an experienced **Facade Designer** to join our in-office team and work on live US facade projects. This role goes beyond drafting — you'll be involved in facade system selection, design development, and technical resolution of curtain wall, cladding, and glazing assemblies, translating architectural design intent into buildable, code-compliant facade solutions for US clients.

## Key Responsibilities

- Develop facade design concepts and technical solutions for curtain wall, unitized/stick-built systems, rainscreen cladding, window wall, and structural glazing

- Translate architect's design intent into detailed facade systems, addressing performance, constructability, and cost considerations

- Prepare design development (DD) and construction document (CD) level facade drawings — plans, elevations, sections, and details

- Apply US building codes and industry standards (IBC, ASTM, AAMA, NFRC) to facade design decisions





- Coordinate facade design with structural, MEP, and architectural teams to resolve interface and clash issues

- Evaluate facade material systems, thermal performance, and waterproofing/detailing strategies

- Support facade consultants/engineers with technical input during design review cycles

- Respond to client (architect/facade consultant) comments and redlines with quick, accurate turnaround

- Maintain design and drawing standards consistent with client-specific templates and expectations

- Communicate directly with US-based clients during overlapping working hours as needed

## Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Facade Engineering, or related field

- 4–5 years of hands-on experience in facade design for US-based projects (mandatory)

- Strong proficiency in **AutoCAD**; working knowledge of **Revit** preferred

- Solid understanding of facade systems: curtain wall, structural glazing, rainscreen, cladding, window wall, and unitized assemblies

- Working knowledge of US building codes and facade performance standards (IBC, ASTM, AAMA, NFRC)

- Ability to think through design intent, not just execute drafting — comfortable proposing facade solutions,



not only documenting them

- Understanding of thermal bridging, air/water barrier continuity, and basic building envelope performance principles

- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset

- Good written and verbal English communication skills for direct client interaction

- Comfortable working office hours aligned partially with US time zones when required

## Preferred (Good to Have)

- Prior experience with a US facade consultant, curtain wall fabricator, or architecture firm

- Exposure to facade performance/energy modeling tools

- Familiarity with Navisworks or clash-detection/coordination workflows

- Experience contributing to facade specifications or technical submittals
