Job Description – PGT Biology Teacher

Qualification:
M.Sc. in Biology / Botany / Zoology
B.Ed. mandatory

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level (Classes 11 & 12)

Responsibilities:
Teach Biology (Botany & Zoology) to Classes 11 & 12 as per CBSE/ICSE curriculum
Prepare lesson plans, teaching material, worksheets & assignments
Conduct practical classes and ensure lab safety
Prepare students for board exams & competitive-level basics (if required)
Evaluate student performance and conduct regular assessments
Maintain discipline and create an interactive classroom workplace
Participate in PTMs, staff meetings & school academic activities
Stay updated with curriculum changes and contemporary teaching methods

Skills Required:
Robust subject knowledge in Biology
Good communication & classroom management skills
Ability to engage students and simplify complex topics
Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smartboard (preferred)
