We are looking for a passionate and skilled Textile Designer specializing in Handwoven Textiles to join our Design team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of handweaving techniques, along with a strong sense of color, texture, yarns and fabric construction.

This role involves creating innovative and market-relevant handwoven fabric designs for home furnishing products like- Cushions, Rugs, Throws, Bags etc. The designer will work closely with weavers, artisans, and product development teams to bring unique, high-quality handwoven collections to life. They will also be responsible for creating product presentations based on customer mood boards/trends, aligning designs with specific client aesthetics and market demands.

Knowledge and experience in creating prints and surface ornamentation would be a valuable addition.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop woven textile patterns and fabric concepts using CAD software like photoshop or Corel Draw.

· Create detailed design concepts including colorways, weave structures, and yarn selections, ensuring alignment with market trends and brand aesthetics.

· For Wovens- Work closely with weavers to guide them on patterns, weaving techniques, and finishing processes to ensure quality and consistency.





· Source appropriate yarns, dyes, and materials suited for various handweaving techniques and product requirements.

· For Prints and Surface work- Collaborate with in-house teams and artisans to translate design concepts into physical samples and final products.

· To create product presentations based on customer mood boards.

· Actively participate in showroom displays during meetings with international clients.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience in textile design, specifically in woven textiles.

· Strong understanding of weaving techniques, yarn types, fabric construction, and finishing processes.

· Proficiency in software such as Photoshop, Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator.

· Good color sense and ability to create creative patterns suitable for different markets.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills and management skills.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
