Senior Staff Nurse – Job Description (Job Notification)

Position: Senior Staff Nurse (Immediate Joiners Preferable)
Department: Nursing Services
Location: Medicover Hospital- Nellore
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a multispecialty hospital
Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with valid State Nursing Council Registration
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities:

- Deliver high-quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, identify changes in condition, and report to the treating physician.
- Supervise and guide junior nursing staff while ensuring adherence to hospital protocols.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and electronic medical records.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, NABH standards, and quality protocols.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors and allied healthcare professionals for seamless patient care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, medication, and discharge instructions.




- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in life-saving procedures.
- Maintain nursing equipment, ensure availability of supplies, and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:

- Robust clinical and critical care knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Sound knowledge of NABH standards and infection control practices.
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Areas:

ICU, NICU, PICU, Emergency, OT, Cath Lab, Medical & Surgical Wards, Labour Room, Dialysis, or other specialty units.
