The Caterpillar Club is seeking a bartender passionate about hospitality and understands that great bartending is about far more than making drinks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating an atmosphere, thrives in busy services and genuinely loves looking after people.

About the Venue

The Caterpillar Club is Sydney’s underground bar built on sound, energy, and staying up to catch the final set. Live bands take the stage and DJs spin till close, no laptops, no autoplay, just records and the people who know how to play them. Caterpillar Club is a temple for crate diggers, soul lovers, and late-night dancers – a sunset to late-night scene that welcomes all.

About the Role

As a Bartender at The Caterpillar Club, you’ll help create an experience that’s equal parts hospitality, music and atmosphere. You’ll craft exceptional drinks, build genuine connections with guests, and contribute to the unique energy that defines every night at Caterpillar.

- Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine and beer with consistency, precision and care
- Deliver warm, intuitive service that creates memorable guest experiences




- Work confidently in a fast-paced late-night environment without compromising quality
- Maintain exceptional presentation and organisation of the bar throughout service
- Develop strong product knowledge across all product offerings
- Contribute to the venue’s culture by bringing energy, professionalism and a team-first mindset
- Work collaboratively with floor, bar and leadership teams to deliver seamless service

About You

You’re passionate about hospitality and understand that great bartending is about far more than making drinks. You enjoy creating an atmosphere, thrive in busy services and genuinely love looking after people.

- Experience in quality cocktail bars or premium hospitality venues
- Strong cocktail knowledge and confidence behind the bar
- Passion for hospitality, music and creating memorable guest experiences
- Calm, organised and professional under pressure
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in your work
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and continuously develop
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Reliable, accountable and committed to consistently high standards
