Position: CNC Bending Machine Operator (Press Brake Operator)
Department: Production – Sheet Metal Fabrication
Location: Manufacturing Unit
Reporting To: Production Manager / Sheet Metal Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Bending Machine Operator to operate CNC Press Brake/Bending Machines for manufacturing precision sheet metal components used in IT Hardware products such as Computer Cabinets, Server Chassis, Racks, Kiosks, and other fabricated metal parts. The candidate should have experience in machine setup, tooling selection, bend angle accuracy, and quality inspection.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC Press Brake/Bending Machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, bend layouts, and work orders.
- Select and install appropriate punches and dies according to job requirements.
- Set machine parameters for different sheet thicknesses and materials.
- Perform accurate bending operations as per drawings and tolerances.
- Check bend angles, dimensions, and product quality during production.
- Ensure first-piece approval before starting batch production.
- Minimize rework and material wastage.
- Handle sheet metal components carefully to avoid damage.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Maintain production records and machine logbooks.
- Report machine issues or breakdowns to the Maintenance Department.
- Coordinate with the Laser Cutting, Welding, Quality, and Production teams.
- Follow 5S practices and all workplace safety guidelines.
- Use PPE while operating machinery.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience operating CNC Press Brake/Bending Machines.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Understanding of bend deductions, bend allowances, and tolerances.
- Knowledge of tooling selection (Punch & Die).
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Height Gauge, Steel Scale, Angle Protractor, and Bevel Gauge.




- Basic computer knowledge for CNC machine operation.
- Good troubleshooting and machine setup skills.

Educational Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Turner, Production, or a related trade.
- Certification in CNC Press Brake or Bending Machine Operation will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum: 2 Years
- Preferred: 3–7 Years in CNC Press Brake/Bending Machine Operations.
