Job Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer (WebUI Test Automation)

Location: Chennai

Experience: 5+ Years

Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/Postgraduate in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent

Job Description:

- Lead and drive the Software QA lifecycle in an Agile environment
- Analyze requirements, enhancements, and defect fixes to identify testing scope and risks
- Design and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and traceability matrices
- Develop and execute UI, functional, integration, regression, and non-functional automation tests
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive UI testing
- Validate enterprise workflows and data migration applications
- Perform defect analysis, root cause analysis, and collaborate in defect triaging
- Generate test reports, dashboards, and release readiness summaries
- Leverage AI-powered QA tools for test planning, test case generation, automation, and defect analysis

Required Skills:

- Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Cypress and Playwright




- Experience in building automation frameworks using TestNG (Data-Driven, Hybrid, BDD)
- Experience with API testing and automation using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, DOM, REST APIs, and browser debugging
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Xray
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Basic knowledge of Linux commands and cross-platform environments

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with enterprise SaaS or Data Migration products
- Exposure to performance testing tools
- Understanding of ETL workflows, database migration, and large-scale data validation
- Robust analytical, debugging, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in Agile environments
