Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
SYNON/AS400 Developer
with 7 to 9 years of total IT experience, including 5 to 6 years of hands-on expertise in SYNON/2E (CA 2E) development on the AS400 (iSeries) platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise applications using SYNON/2E, RPG, and CL. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with deep technical knowledge of AS400 systems, are essential.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and implement applications using
SYNON/2E
,
RPG
, and
CL
on the
AS400 (iSeries)
platform.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Provide production support and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth system functionality.




Maintain and update existing AS400 applications based on changing business needs.
Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Create and maintain documentation related to design, configuration, and development processes.
Ensure compliance with IBM and client-specific security and performance standards.
Requirements
7–9 years in IT, with 5–6 years in SYNON/2E (CA 2E) development on the AS400 (iSeries) platform.
Strong expertise in SYNON/2E, RPG, RPGLE, and CL programming languages.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
