As a Node.js Backend Developer, you will play a key role in building, scaling, and maintaining robust backend systems that power modern digital applications. You will work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to design high-performance APIs and backend services that are secure, reliable, and scalable. This role is ideal for a backend-focused engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working in agile environments, and contributing to systems used at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and modern frameworks
Build and manage RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to support web and mobile applications
Integrate backend services with SQL and NoSQL databases, external APIs, and third-party systems
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best engineering practices
Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with relevant standards
Optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability under high-traffic conditions
Collaborate with cloud and DevOps teams to support containerized and cloud-based deployments
Implement automated testing strategies including unit, integration,



and end-to-end tests
Participate in CI/CD workflows to support continuous delivery and system stability
Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile or Scrum-based development setting
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues using logging and monitoring tools
What Makes You a Great Fit
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and hands-on experience with Node.js development
Experience working with backend frameworks and API-driven architectures
Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven systems, and backend workflows
Practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts
Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, caching mechanisms, and message queues
Knowledge of version control systems and modern DevOps practices
Solid debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving abilities
Exposure to TypeScript, microservices, or serverless architectures is an advantage
Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments with distributed teams
Clear communication skills and a cooperative mindset
A strong focus on code quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability
