We are looking for an experienced
Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer
with a strong background in soil investigations, reinforced earth (RE) structures, pavement design with geosynthetics, and ground improvement techniques. The role involves both field and design responsibilities, combining deep technical expertise with practical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Geotechnical Site Investigations
Plan and manage field investigations, including borehole drilling, soil sampling, and in-situ testing.
Analyze laboratory and field test data such as CBR, UCS, triaxial, and consolidation tests.
Assess critical soil properties influencing the design and performance of pavements and retaining structures.
Design of Reinforced Earth (RE) Walls
Perform comprehensive structural and geotechnical design of RE walls using polyester geogrids.
Conduct external, internal, and compound stability analysis.
Utilize design tools such as Geo5, MSEW, REWall, or equivalent software.
Ensure designs comply with applicable standards like IRC SP-102, BS, and FHWA-NHI guidelines.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, cross-sections,



elevations, and bills of quantities (BOQs).
Pavement Design with PP Geogrids
Evaluate subgrade conditions based on CBR and modulus parameters.
Design adaptable pavements reinforced with polypropylene geogrids using layered theory or mechanistic-empirical methods.
Conduct cost and thickness optimization studies comparing reinforced and non-reinforced sections.
Recommend suitable subgrade improvement methods, such as stabilization or replacement.
Ground Improvement & Soil Stabilization
Design soil improvement solutions using lime, cement, geotextiles, and other techniques.
Develop stabilization mix designs and oversee field trials and site implementation.
Key Skills & Competencies
Geotechnical investigations and data interpretation
Design and analysis of RE walls using geosynthetics
Pavement design with geogrid reinforcement
Ground improvement and soil stabilization techniques
Proficiency in design software (Geo5, MSEW, REWall, etc.)
Familiarity with national and international design codes
Robust attention to detail and ability to manage multiple technical deliverables
