- Develop and implement effective training programs based on swimmers’ skill levels and goals
- Teach proper swimming techniques, stroke mechanics, starts, and turns
- Monitor progress, provide feedback, and adjust training plans accordingly
- Ensure a safe swimming environment by enforcing pool rules and safety standards
- Maintain discipline and follow child safety and protection guidelines
- Prepare students for competitions and manage participation
- Maintain records of attendance, progress, and performance
- Coordinate with parents, school staff, and management
- Stay updated with modern coaching practices
- Conduct dryland training sessions when required
Qualifications
- Experience as a swim coach, instructor, or competitive swimmer
- CPR,
First Aid, or Lifeguard certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Coaching certification preferred
- Experience working with children or in a school setup preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and guide students
