- Ensure code quality, reusability, and proper documentation.
- Support the design team by enabling backend functionalities for the pages they build.
- Integrate third-party APIs and Express. js-based services where needed.
- Manage site deployments, staging environments, and production releases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across plugins, integrations, and code.
Core skills and experience
- Deep expertise in WordPress backend development, hooks, filters, and architecture.

- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Hands-on experience with Bootstrap and frontend frameworks.
- Familiar with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery (for integration purposes).

Nice to have

- Knowledge of WordPress security best practices.
- Experience with headless or decoupled WordPress environments.
- SEO integration (technical level only, not content).
- Familiarity with basic Express.js and backend API consumption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or
equivalent practical experience).
- 2–5 years of experience as a WordPress Engineer or in a similar technical role.
