Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated
IP Lawyer Intern
with a robust background in
intellectual property rights related to mechanical design and AI research
. The role involves working closely with our R&D; and engineering teams to safeguard innovations, support patent filings, and ensure IP compliance across our projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct prior art searches, patentability assessments, and freedom-to-operate analyses in the areas of mechanical design and AI systems.
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and filing patent applications, design registrations, and related IP documentation.
Collaborate with engineering and research teams to identify and document innovative technologies.
Review contracts, NDAs, and licensing agreements to ensure proper IP protection and compliance.
Research emerging IP laws and trends relevant to AI, automation, and construction technology.
Support the team in maintaining and managing the company's IP portfolio.




Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a
law degree (LL.B / LL.M)
with a focus on
Intellectual Property Law
.
Prior experience or internship in
IP law for mechanical design, robotics, or AI research
preferred.
Robust understanding of
patent laws
,
copyrights
, and
trade secrets
applicable to technology-driven industries.
Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
