About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our engineering team across three critical technology tracks: Node.js + React + AWS and Node.js + Python + AWS, and Node.js + AWS. In this leadership position, you will drive the strategic direction, technical excellence, and operational execution of our product and platform development efforts, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability in a cloud-first workplace.
Leadership & Strategy:
Guide, mentor, and manage a team of developers specializing in Node.js, AWS, React, and Python.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership to define the technical roadmap and project priorities.
Foster an setting of innovation, continuous learning, and process improvement within the team.
Technical Oversight for Specific Tracks:
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Act as the primary liaison between the engineering team and other departments, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs.
Drive collaborative initiatives with product, UI/UX, DevOps, and data engineering teams to achieve project goals.
Operational Excellence:
Implement and maintain engineering best practices, including coding standards, design patterns,



and automation of development processes.
Drive the adoption of monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and rapid incident response.
Experience
: Minimum 5 years in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or associate director role.
Technical Expertise
:
Robust background in Node.js and AWS across all three tracks.
Experience with React (for Full Stack role) and/or Python (for Backend role).
In-depth knowledge of AWS services like Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
Leadership Skills
: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing technical teams.
Communication Skills
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
