Category Head
to lead and manage a key product category. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in category management, pricing, vendor relations, and P&L; ownership. This role is pivotal in driving category growth, profitability, and operational excellence through collaboration with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a
comprehensive category strategy
aligned with overall business objectives.
Take full
ownership of category P&L;
, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.
Analyze
market trends

competitor activities

customer insights
to identify recent opportunities.
Lead
vendor management
, including sourcing, negotiations, and performance evaluations.
Partner with marketing and product teams to define
pricing, promotions

Monitor

Guide, mentor, and develop a team of

Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
.
5–7 years
of experience in category management, merchandising, or product management.
Demonstrated success in
P&L; ownership
and driving business growth.
Robust
analytical and problem-solving skills
with a data-driven approach.
Excellent
negotiation, vendor management
, and
stakeholder management
capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a
fast-paced, evolving business environment
.
Experience in
e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods
sectors is preferred.
