Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Foundry Engineer to oversee and optimize foundry operations. The role involves ensuring high-quality casting production, improving process efficiency, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in metal casting processes along with a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day foundry operations, including melting, molding, casting, shot blasting, fettling, and finishing processes.
- Handle production of heavy engineering casting components such as couplers, draft gears, and other critical parts.
- Ensure achievement of production targets with optimum quality and minimal rejection rates.
- Monitor and control process parameters across various casting techniques.
- Identify casting defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Coordinate effectively with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations,



environmental standards, and internal company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production data, quality reports, and process parameters.

Support new product development, trials, and process validation activities

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of foundry processes such as sand casting and investment casting.
- Sound understanding of metallurgical principles and material behavior.
- Expertise in defect analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with quality control tools and inspection techniques.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and shop-floor operations effectively.

Educational Qualification:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in ferrous foundry operations
- Exposure to process optimization, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices
