Profile - General Manager / Deputy General Manager/ Assistant General Manager – Crop Insurance
Experience: 10-15 years in relevant field with General Insurance Industry
Salary Range: As per Industry Norms.
Desired Qualification: Graduate/Post Graduate in Agriculture

Job Responsibilities -

- Set up the recent division to focus on Crop and Agri business for both Reinsurance and Direct business.
- Strategic leadership in establishing best practices in the Crop and Agri Division.
- Underwrite Crop insurance profitably through participation in government tenders
- Create analytical framework for underwriting crop insurance including portfolio strategy approach incorporating diversification across micro agro climatic zones, operational risks, political risks and capital requirements among others.
- Liaison with the state and central agriculture and administrative departments.




- Managing crop insurance claims.
- Simultaneously liaison with the reinsurance markets to create underwriting capacity and get updates on the latest technology and analytics trends.
- Build a team to scale up operations.

Key Skills:

- Good interpersonal skills
- Analytical ability with working knowledge of MS office.
- Good working knowledge of Crop Insurance/Agri
- Aptitude to adapt to development in analytical and agri-technology fields.
- Good drafting skill of emails and letters. A reasonable grip on the English language is a must.
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Economics, or a related field.
