- Supervise the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
- Allocate duties and prepare shift schedules.
- Ensure cleanliness of patient rooms, wards, ICUs, OTs, OPDs, offices, corridors, washrooms, and public areas.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal as per Biomedical Waste Management Rules.
- Monitor the availability and proper use of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Coordinate deep cleaning schedules for all hospital departments.
- Ensure immediate cleaning of spills and emergency situations.
- Ensure housekeeping staff follow infection prevention and control protocols.
- Monitor the use of appropriate disinfectants and cleaning procedures.
- Coordinate with the Infection Control Team for implementation of infection control measures.
- Supervise, guide, and motivate housekeeping staff.
- Maintain attendance, leave records, and shift rosters.
- Train recent employees on housekeeping procedures, safety, and infection control.
- Maintain daily housekeeping reports.
- Record inspection findings and corrective actions.
