About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics & Operations Team Lead with a proven background in the Australian Car Carrier or Vehicle Transport Industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing vehicle transport operations, coordinating with drivers and subcontractors, ensuring timely vehicle deliveries, and leading an operations team.

This is a leadership role requiring excellent communication skills, strong operational knowledge, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to build efficient logistics processes while delivering exceptional customer service to Australian clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Australian Vehicle Transport team.
- Oversee end-to-end vehicle transport operations across Australia.
- Plan and allocate vehicle movements to maximize fleet utilization and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with drivers, transport partners, depots, subcontractors, dealerships, auctions, and customers.
- Monitor vehicle pickups, deliveries, transit schedules, and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure all vehicle movements are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed service levels.
- Manage daily dispatch planning and optimize transport routes.
- Lead, train, mentor, and develop the operations team while maintaining high performance standards.
- Handle customer escalations and provide proactive updates to Australian clients.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports using Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Analyze KPIs, fleet utilization, delivery performance, and operational costs to improve productivity.
- Ensure accurate documentation, Proof of Delivery (POD),



transport records, invoicing, and compliance.
- Drive continuous process improvements and implement best operational practices.
- Collaborate with management to improve customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5–10+ years of experience in Australian Car Carrier, Vehicle Transport, Fleet Operations, or Automotive Logistics.
- Previous experience leading logistics or operations teams.
- Strong understanding of Australian transport regulations and vehicle logistics operations.
- Experience coordinating with transport companies, carriers, depots, auctions, and dealerships.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities.

- Ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing operations teams.
- Solid analytical mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
