Senior Site Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities at project sites, ensuring work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. The role involves coordinating with contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution & Supervision

- Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and approved drawings.
- Coordinate and manage site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and labor teams.
- Ensure construction work progresses according to project schedules and milestones.
- Review construction methods and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Resolve technical and site-related issues promptly.

Quality Control

- Ensure all works comply with applicable standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Conduct inspections and verify completed work before consultant/client inspections.
- Review material approvals, shop drawings, and method statements.
- Monitor testing and quality assurance activities.

Project Coordination

- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on site progress.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Assist in planning and resource allocation activities.

Safety Management

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Promote a strong safety culture in office.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address unsafe conditions.

Planning & Cost Control

- Monitor labor, materials, and equipment utilization.




- Assist in tracking project costs and minimizing wastage.
- Support preparation of work schedules and recovery plans when required.
- Verify subcontractor work quantities and progress claims.

Documentation

- Maintain site records, inspection reports, RFIs, and as-built documentation.
- Review and update project documentation as required.
- Ensure proper filing of technical and contractual records.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
- Professional certifications are an added advantage.

Experience

- 5 years of experience in building, infrastructure, Villas, Apartments and commercial construction projects.
- Proven experience managing site execution and coordinating multiple disciplines.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and site management.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- Primavera P6
- Microsoft Project
- MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of construction quality standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
