- Weld through different welding techniques and positions such as GMAW, FCAW, MCAW / 1F -4F & 1G -2G
- Weld steel parts and aluminum chassis for trailers and farm equipment
- Operate basic hand & air tools (die grinder, angle grinder, drill, etc.)
- Operate previously set -up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Operate previously set -up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Requirements
- Education: Completion of high school is required. Trade courses are an asset
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in welding is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post -secondary education certificate OR Completion of a three -year apprenticeship program is required.
- Training will be provided - in -hour or out -of -house training, hands -on training.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge are required. (properly start and shut the machine, working with the tools safely, not scared of using new tools)
- Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast -paced setting, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand -eye coordination, standing for extended periods, working under pressure, tight deadlines, a combination of sitting, standing, walking, working at heights
- Personal suitability: Organized, effective interpersonal skills, team player, excellent oral communication, initiative, accuracy, and judgment.

- Important information: Flexibility on schedule is required. The candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Overtime (extended hours) may be required based on the business needs.
