Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY Owns Oracle database vulnerability remediation on Oracle Cloud Platform. Operates within highly automated OCP-native patching workflows. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Execute Oracle database patching on OCP via native APIs and Oracle's automation framework. Apply quarterly Critical Patch Updates (CPU) and Patch Set Updates (PSU). Manage standby / Data Guard configurations during patching. Coordinate with application owners on validation cycles. Produce closed-loop evidence; feed automation backlog. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS Strong Oracle DBA fundamentals: 19c, 21c, RAC, Data Guard. Hands-on Oracle Cloud Platform / OCI operations. Familiarity with Oracle CPU/PSU/RU advisory cadence. Scripting in PL/SQL, Python, or shell. PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE Oracle Certified Professional (OCP DBA). Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect Associate. Experience with Autonomous Database. EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS 5+ years Oracle DBA experience. Certifications: OCP DBA; OCI Foundations or higher. SOFT SKILLS Reliable, methodical operator. Comfortable with quarterly patch cadence discipline. Strong documentation.
