Job Description:

Novaya is seeking for a solid Senior SQL Server Database Developer. We're looking for a Senior SQL Server Developer to join our Hyderabad team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving real-world problems, and has hands-on experience in working with SQL Server on Azure.

Responsibilities

- Excellent hands-on database 8+ experience and skills in developing complex T-SQL queries Server Stored Procedures, functions, triggers, views, T-SQL scripts etc.
- Excellent hands-on MS SQL Server database experience in troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and query optimization in MS SQL Server.
- Design scalable database schema for high-transaction and high-volume applications.
- Collaborating with application developers to design and optimize the database schema, tables, indexes, and relationships to support application requirements and performance.
- Writing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to ensure productive data retrieval and manipulation by the application.
- Experience in performing Database Maintenance activities like rebuilding/reorganizing indexes update statistics.
- Experience in troubleshot application performance issues and identify SQL Server bottlenecks. Performe index fragmentation and work on server performance tuning.
- Build complex queries, views, stored procedures, functions and triggers, optimized for high performance on Azure SQL.
- Analyze, improve and resolve slow running SQL queries in collaboration with application teams.
- Strong in performance tuning and query optimization using Profiler, Execution Plans,



Query Store and Wait Stats.
- Identifying and resolving database performance bottlenecks related to application queries, server configuration, and indexing strategies.
- Experience in Create and configure PaaS Databases like Azure SQL single database, elastic pools and Managed instances in Azure Cloud.
- Having very good experience good knowledge on Pricing models of DTU/eDTU vs Vcore Model.
- Experience in Azure SQL Elastic Jobs and Run Books.
- Expertise in packaging and deploying SQL changes across 100s of databases as part of product releases.
- Must have Expert level hands-on database development experience and database maintenance experience in Azure MS SQL Server.
- Hands on experience with SQL Tools: SQL SentryOne, SQL Profiler, Dynatrace, Redgate

Nice to Have

- Knowledge of SQL Server licensing and cost optimization strategies in Azure.
- Created alerts, monitored activity logs, and troubleshot issues using Azure Portal and Log Analytics and SQL Insights.
- Managing database security, backups, recovery, and high availability solutions specifically tailored to the needs of the applications they support.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.

B.Tech/B.E - Computers, MCA - Computers, MS/M.Sc(Computers)

Experience:

8 - 12 years

15-20 Lacs P.A.
