Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced GitHub Solution Architect to drive enterprise-scale software engineering transformation through AI-Native SDLC practices, GitHub Enterprise platform architecture, and developer productivity modernization.

The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them define and implement contemporary software delivery platforms powered by GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Actions, GitHub Advanced Security, and AI-assisted engineering practices. This role requires deep expertise in platform governance, operating model design, cost optimization, security, compliance, and executive stakeholder engagement.

The architect will work closely with customer leadership, engineering teams, security organizations, and platform teams to establish scalable, secure, and cost-effective software delivery ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Advisory & Consulting

- Act as a trusted advisor for enterprise software engineering transformation initiatives.
- Define customer roadmaps for AI-Native SDLC adoption leveraging GitHub capabilities and GenAI-assisted development practices.
- Conduct executive workshops, maturity assessments, and platform modernization engagements.
- Provide recommendations on organizational readiness, governance, security controls, and adoption strategies.

AI-Native SDLC Architecture

- Design and implement AI-driven software delivery frameworks utilizing:
- - GitHub Copilot
- Copilot Chat
- Agentic Development workflows
- AI-assisted testing
- AI-powered code reviews
- Intelligent DevOps automation

- Define standardized patterns for:
- - AI-assisted development
- Secure prompt engineering
- AI governance
- Responsible AI practices
- Developer productivity measurement

- Establish frameworks for integrating AI into the software development lifecycle while maintaining compliance and quality standards.





GitHub Enterprise Platform Architecture

- Architect enterprise-scale GitHub environments including:
- - Organizations
- Repository structures
- Teams and access models
- Enterprise accounts
- Policy frameworks

- Design and implement:
- - SSO/SCIM integrations
- RBAC models
- Branch protection strategies
- Repository governance
- Organization management standards

- Define enterprise templates and golden paths for platform onboarding.

Governance, Compliance & Security

- Develop GitHub governance frameworks covering:
- - Repository lifecycle management
- Access governance
- Audit readiness
- Regulatory compliance
- Secure development practices

- Lead GitHub Advanced Security adoption including:
- - CodeQL
- Secret Scanning
- Dependabot
- Security posture reporting

- Establish Policy-as-Code standards and compliance automation.
- Collaborate with customer security teams to meet enterprise security requirements.

Cost Management & FinOps

- Develop governance frameworks for GitHub licensing and consumption management.
- Design cost optimization strategies for:
- - GitHub Enterprise licensing
- GitHub Actions runners
- Copilot usage
- AI tooling consumption

- Implement FinOps practices for AI initiatives, including:
- - Token consumption monitoring
- Usage analytics
- Cost allocation models
- Chargeback/showback frameworks

- Provide executive recommendations for maximizing ROI from GitHub investments.

DevOps & Platform Engineering Modernization

- Define enterprise CI/CD architectures using GitHub Actions.
- Design reusable workflow frameworks and platform accelerators.
- Establish standards for:
- - Infrastructure as Code
- Platform Engineering
- Internal Developer Platforms (IDP)
- Developer Experience (DX)

- Architect scalable multi-cloud and hybrid delivery pipelines.

Migrations & Modernization Programs





- Lead strategy and execution for migration SCM and CI/CD framework from various source frameworks (e.g ADO, Bitbucket, GitLab) to GitHub native framework.
- Design migration factories, governance models, and adoption frameworks.
- Drive post-migration optimization and platform adoption initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

- Present architectural solutions to CIOs, CTOs, Engineering Leadership, Security Leaders, and Enterprise Architects.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and solution workshops.
- Develop executive presentations, architecture roadmaps, and business cases.
- Support pre-sales, proposal development, and solution estimation activities.
