- Requirements
Gathering & Documentation

- Expertise in
eliciting business requirements, writing BRDs, FSDs, and user
stories for payment solutions.

- Experience
with Payment Gateways & Processors

- Hands-on
exposure to platforms like Visa, Mastercard, SWIFT, PayPal,
Stripe, or internal banking rails.

- Regulatory
& Compliance Understanding

- Familiarity
with PCI DSS, AML, KYC, PSD2, and other regulatory frameworks in
payments.

- Stakeholder
Communication & Collaboration

- Ability to
work with business, technical, and regulatory teams to translate
needs into system requirements.

Positive
to Have Skills :

Knowledge
of ISO 20022 & Message Mapping

- Understanding
of financial messaging standards and how to map legacy formats
to ISO 20022.

- Agile/Scrum
Experience

- Experience
working in Agile teams, writing epics, user stories, and
managing backlogs.

- Understanding
of Reconciliation & Settlement Processes

- Insight into
how clearing, settlement, and reconciliation work in payment
systems.





- Hands-on
with Tools

- Familiarity
with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Postman (for API
testing), and SQL (for basic data validation).

- Experience
with APIs in Payments

- Understanding
how RESTful APIs are used in payment integrations (e.g., open
banking, instant payments).

- Liaise
Between Business & Tech Teams

- Act as a
bridge to ensure clear understanding and delivery of payment
system requirements.

- Support
End-to-End Payment Lifecycle Projects

- Participate
in design, development, UAT, and go-live phases for payment
solutions.

- Perform
Gap Analysis & Impact Assessments

- Identify
current system limitations, propose enhancements, and assess
impact on downstream systems.

- Ensure
Compliance & Risk Management

- Assist in
ensuring solutions meet regulatory requirements and mitigate
risks in payment processing.
