Responsibilities

Financial Managers at Capital One utilize a wide array of tools and data to perform analysis to identify drivers and trends that impact the near- and long-term trajectory of our division. The primary tools used on the team are Tableau Desktop, SQL, and Snowflake. Financial managers have the resources and space to drive significant change across the team and organization.





- The Finance Manager will engage with the US-based Financial Services (FS) line of business, monitoring financial performance and providing counsel to senior-level executives through monthly reporting, variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting against headcount and operating expense targets

- This role will be responsible for understanding the accounting, payments, financial budgeting and reporting process, along with key results, and support new projects and initiatives along with analytical modeling support as needed.

- This role will be on the cutting edge of development of financial reporting tools, leveraging programs such as SQL, Snowflake and Tableau to develop automated reporting of key results and metrics to be used across the FS Finance organization and by key business customers

- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance in order to provide transparency

- Understand all of the data that is key to your business line and how to analyze it in order to provide strategic support

- Develop insightful financial models and analyses to support growth of the business and strategic initiatives

- Analyze complex financial information and reports to support accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for critical decision making purposes

Qualifications

- CFA, FRM certification working in Business Finance domain

- 5-10 years of experience in Corporate Finance or Financial analysis

- Experience in Tableau or SQL or snowflake would be preferred.

- Excellent communication skills - Verbal, written and presentation
