Purchase Manager (Local Contract)
- Manage all aspects of purchasing, receiving, storage and inventory control.
. Allocation of suppliers based on the vendor capacity, location etc., and the company's requirements.
. Ensure that hotel expenses are minimized through the use of effective purchasing and by obtaining the most competitive prices for goods and services.
. Conduct regular market surveys, obtaining competitive quotations and aggressively negotiating in order to reap the maximum price benefits of purchasing power.
. Responsible for the issuing and distribution of inventory items within the hotel, and for the accurate and timely allocation of costs to user department.
. Keep inventories as low as possible to properly supply the operation's needs and maximize inventory turnover and space utilization
. Implement and enforce all operating and control procedures to ensure that movement of goods into and within the hotel is properly accounted for
.
Ensure that inventory items are stored properly and issued in FIFO rotation to minimize wastage and spoilage
. Handle import of equipment and material right from inquiry to the actual purchase.
. Investigate and follow-up on complaints received from receiving, stores and user departments about the products and obtain corrective actions from the vendors.
. Establish and enforce internal control Policy and Procedure throughout the department, regarding purchasing, receiving, inventory control, issuing and emergency issuing
Centralises the needs of all the hotel's departments and ensures they are supplied
. Receive and compare the proposals from various vendors and submit it to the management for approvals.
. Prioritize purchases based on resources and urgency and ensures that deliveries correspond to orders and applies storage guidelines
. Manages supplier relations
. Indicates when stocks are running low or when they are excessive
. Insures an optimal arrangement of the goods under his responsibility
. Ensure to evaluate user needs and functionality of various materials purchased.
. Ensure that all Licensing laws are adhered to.
. Plan, direct and control all day-to-day Purchasing functions.
