We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Dietitian to join our Treatment Support Program. The selected candidate will provide nutritional assessment, dietary counselling, and personalized nutrition care to paediatric oncology patients. The role involves working closely with doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, caregivers, and hospital teams to improve patients' nutritional status and treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutritional assessments for paediatric oncology patients.
- Develop individualized diet plans and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
- Provide nutrition counselling to patients and caregivers.
- Monitor inpatient (IPD), outpatient (OPD), and ICU nutritional care.
- Plan and manage nutrition supplementation programs.
- Coordinate Mid-Day Meal (MDM) distribution while ensuring food quality, hygiene, and safety.
- Maintain nutrition records, assessments, and documentation.
- Conduct health, hygiene, and nutrition awareness sessions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary hospital teams.
- Prepare monthly reports and maintain nutrition databases.
- Participate in research activities, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Train new staff members, interns, and volunteers on nutrition protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Food and Nutrition (Mandatory).
- Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Food and Nutrition / Clinical Nutrition / Dietetics (Mandatory).
- 1-3 years of clinical dietetics experience, preferably in a hospital, paediatric oncology, or NGO setting.
- Experience in paediatric or oncology nutrition will be preferred.
- Registration with the relevant professional council (if applicable) will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of maintaining and managing data using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
