Job Description
Position Overview:
AECOM is looking for the position of Section In-Charge -Transmission Line, who will manage zone-wise execution of the assigned transmission line section, including survey, foundations, tower erection, stringing, quality, HSE, progress, contractor supervision and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for PMC supervision within the assigned transmission line section or zone.
- Coordinate survey, foundation, tower erection, stringing, OPGW, testing and handover activities.
- Review contractor work fronts, resource deployment, gang productivity and daily execution plans.
- Verify availability of approved drawings, materials, access, ROW and clear work fronts before commencement.
- Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, quality, survey and HSE personnel within the section.
- Monitor progress against section-wise targets and identify constraints affecting productivity.
- Review method statements, lifting plans, crossing plans and work permits before execution.
- Conduct daily and weekly coordination meetings with contractor representatives.
- Monitor special crossings, railway/highway permissions, shutdowns and interface activities.
- Ensure timely inspections, RFI closure, test recording and work-release approvals.
- Escalate technical, contractual,
access, ROW, quality and HSE issues requiring management intervention.
- Verify work quantities and progress records supporting contractor RA bills.
- Monitor material availability, reconciliation, storage and movement within the assigned section.
- Coordinate pre-commissioning checks, punch-list close-out and section handover.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly section progress reports.

- Section execution and mobilization plan.
- Daily and weekly progress reports.
- Constraint and interface register.
- Section quality and HSE status report.
- Quantity and progress-verification records.
- Section completion and handover dossier.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor''s degree or diploma in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years of transmission line construction experience.
- Experience in at least 400 kV transmission line works; 765 kV or HVDC line experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple contractor gangs and geographically dispersed work fronts.
Additional Information
The position will be site-based atKhavda or Suratand may require travel between project locations, contractor offices, manufacturing facilities and client offices.
The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary AECOM Energy team supporting the safe and successful delivery of major HVDC and transmission infrastructure projects.
