Role Context

The Logistics Manager-International is primarily responsible for ensuring the safe and timely receipt and dispatch of materials / equipment related to all projects undertaken by BFL through Sea/ Air across the Globe.

Qualifications & Experience

Any Graduate with 12 to 15 years of experience in a project-oriented heavy engineering company.

- Build a robust pipeline of Shipment for each material to dispatch intime.
- Identify and float enquiries to service providers
- Manage the creation and distribution of routing instructions to ensure optimal costs incurred in logistics
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for reduction in shipment costs and improved reduction of lots.
- Review and make course corrections as required in quotations received from suppliers
- Monitor and review the process of sending RFQs (Request for Quotation)




- Develop robust processes for effective tracking and deliver the material projects site.
- Manage shipment of ODC load to projects
- Ensure procurement of necessary permits as applicable
- Identify storage space for materials and equipment at port / project site
- Identify new CHA both in India and in other countries wherever we have operations
- Ensure complete shipment is cost effective and carried out in a safe and secure manner.
- Use latest Project Management tools to ensure the least cost and time in an optimized manner.
- Engage CHA to conduct a survey and in case required participate in the survey, if required
- Collate and analyze results of the survey.
- Provide suggestions regarding permissible port availability to the project team.
