Job description:

A Playwright Automation Engineer focuses on building robust End-to-End (E2E) testing frameworks using Microsoft's modern, open-source testing library. It typically requires expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, CI/CD integration, and API testing to ensure high-performance web application delivery

Role & responsibilities

- Framework Development: Design, build, maintain, and scale automated test frameworks from scratch using Playwright.
- Test Execution: Develop and execute automated functional, regression, and End-to-End (E2E) test scripts for web applications.
- API Testing: Conduct server-side API automation and integration testing (validating backend endpoints along with UI workflows).
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate test suites into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS).
- Defect Management: Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and document or track software defects through to resolution.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams (developers, product managers)



and mentor junior engineers on QA best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience: Typically 4 to 10 years in software test automation, with a minimum of 2 years specifically dedicated to Playwright (Mandatory).
- Programming Languages: High proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Web Technologies: Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS, DOM manipulation, and REST APIs.
- Version Control: Git / GitHub
- Testing Frameworks: Experience transitioning from or working alongside Selenium or Cypress is highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to rapid-paced agile environments.
