About Altoura
Altoura builds enterprise software for creating, managing, and delivering interactive training across web, mobile, and immersive devices. Altoura vNext brings VR training, procedure training, and e-learning into a modern web-based platform with shared content, reusable scenes and assets, and AI-assisted authoring.
Our product ecosystem includes a browser-based Authoring Platform and Trainee Client, a Unity-based trainee application for head-mounted devices such as Meta Quest, Microsoft HoloLens, and HTC Vive, and mobile applications for iOS and Android. Designers work across complex enterprise workflows, 3D interactions, spatial interfaces, and conventional 2D user experiences.
The Role
We are looking for a recent graduate or final-year student who is ready to begin a full-time career in UX design. You should bring curiosity, structured thinking, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn. You will support the design of Altouras web, mobile, and immersive training products while working closely with senior designers, product managers, and engineers.
No previous full-time design experience or XR experience is required. We welcome portfolios built from college, internship, freelance, or personal projects. We value UX fundamentals, thoughtful problem solving, receptiveness to feedback, and the ability to learn unfamiliar domains.
What You’ll Do
- Support user-flow mapping, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and interface design for web and mobile product features.
- Help analyze complex authoring and trainee workflows and break them into clear steps, states, and interactions.
- Create and maintain user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction notes, and design documentation with guidance from senior designers.
- Use and extend established components from the Altoura Design System under the guidance of senior designers.
- Assist with user interviews, usability tests, competitive research, note-taking, synthesis, and presentation of findings.
- Review implemented features, identify usability or visual-quality issues, and collaborate with engineering on corrections.
- Learn how experiences should adapt across desktop, tablet, iOS, Android, and immersive devices with different input methods.
- Participate actively in design critiques, product discussions, and cross-functional reviews.
- Use prototyping and AI-assisted tools responsibly to explore ideas, organize findings, and accelerate design iteration.
- Build practical knowledge in enterprise software, training authoring, design systems, 3D interaction, and spatial computing.
What We’re Looking For
- A recent degree or diploma in design, human-computer interaction, psychology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline; final-year students who can begin full-time work are also welcome.
- No full-time UX experience is required. Internships,
academic work, freelance projects, hackathons, and self-directed projects are valuable.
- A portfolio or project collection that demonstrates your thinking, process, contribution, design decisions, and learning—not only polished final screens.
- Foundational knowledge of user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability principles.
- Working knowledge of Figma, including components, auto layout, and interactive prototypes.
- Strong curiosity and the willingness to understand complex products, technical constraints, and unfamiliar user needs.
- Attention to detail and an openness to critique, iteration, and continuous improvement.
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate respectfully with designers, product managers, and engineers.
- Ability to organize assigned work, ask useful questions, and follow through in an office-based team workplace in India.
Good to Have
- A strong college, internship, freelance, or personal project involving SaaS, dashboards, productivity, education, or content-creation tools.
- Interest in 3D design, XR, VR, AR, gaming, simulation, learning technology, or Unity-based applications.
- Basic familiarity with design systems, accessibility, responsive layouts, iOS, or Android conventions.
- Experience using AI tools for research support, ideation, prototyping, or design exploration.
- Experience collaborating with developers, classmates, researchers, or other disciplines on a team project.
