Luxoft is looking for Software development professionals with excellent experience in Java Backend. As a Lead Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable digital platforms, driving engineering excellence, cloud-native architecture, and AI innovation across the organization.

Responsibilities

- Ownership
- Define and drive engineering strategy, technical direction, and platform roadmaps.
- Own scalable, secure, and resilient architecture across Platforms Data.
- Set engineering standards for software development, DevOps, reliability, and AI-assisted engineering.
- Lead modernization initiatives across platforms, tooling, and infrastructure.

- Collaboration

- Partner with product, engineering, data, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance to senior stakeholders on key architecture and technology decisions.
- Mentor engineers and technical leads to improve delivery quality and engineering maturity.

- Solutioning

- Lead solution design for distributed systems, event-driven platforms, APIs, and cloud-native services.
- Drive adoption of AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD, observability, automation,



and platform engineering practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI use cases to improve scalability, productivity, and business outcomes.

Skills

Must have

- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership in large-scale systems.
- Robust expertise in Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, containers, Helm, CI/CD, Git workflows, and test automation.
- Experience with platform engineering, observability tools, automation frameworks, and cloud-native architecture.
- Experience driving AI adoption, AI-assisted engineering practices, workflow automation, and knowledge systems.
- Ability to review code, read PRs, debug production issues, and provide hands-on technical guidance.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fintech, digital banking, or regulated technology experience preferred.
