Role Overview
The Infrastructure Finance Expert will provide financial and economic expertise to support the planning and appraisal of infrastructure and risk reduction interventions, with a focus on long-term resilience and efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Overall Evaluate the financial and economic benefits of infrastructure and disaster risk reduction interventions, including assessment of avoided losses and long-term impacts.
- Undertake cost-benefit analysis and economic analyses to support investment decisions for resilient infrastructure and risk mitigation measures.
- Support preparation and review of financial and economic appraisal documents, models, and justification notes for government review and approval.
- Provide technical inputs to prioritisation and decision-making processes based on economic viability, sustainability, and value for money.
Educational Qualifications:
- CA/CMA or MBA (Finance)/Master of Finance and Control /M.Com /PGDBM (with specification in Finance).
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant skilled experience in the field.
- Experience of working on at least one externally funded project (such as ADB, AFD, WBG, etc.)
- Prior work experience across Himalayan regions with exposure to multiple hazards in India, Nepal, Bhutan, etc.
