About the Role

Borderless CS is one of Australia's fastest-growing cybersecurity firms dual CREST (ANZ & International) accredited, ISO 27001:2022 certified, and competing head-to-head with the largest players in the Australian market. We are hiring a dedicated, full-time SEO Specialist to own and drive our complete organic search strategy for borderlesscs.com.au.

This is not an agency role where you juggle 15 clients. You will work on one brand only, reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Services, with full ownership of rankings, AI search visibility, and organic lead generation. Your work will directly influence sales pipeline for high-value B2B cybersecurity services (penetration testing, 24/7 SOC/MDR, ISO 27001 consulting, vCISO).

Key Responsibilities

Search Engine Optimisation (Core)

- Own end-to-end SEO strategy and execution for borderlesscs.com.au (WordPress).
- Keyword research, competitor gap analysis (vs Other major Australian cybersecurity firms), and content roadmap for commercial and informational keywords.
- On-page optimisation: titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, content refresh cycles.
- Technical SEO: site speed (WP Rocket + Cloudflare), crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema/structured data (Rank Math).
- High-quality link building and digital PR: directories, industry listicles, guest content, citation building white-hat only.

AI Search / AEO / GEO (High Priority)

- Optimise for Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude citations (answer-first content, FAQPage/Article schema, llms.txt, entity and E-E-A-T signals).




- Track AI Overview citations for target penetration testing and cybersecurity keywords and report movement fortnightly.

Content & Local SEO

- Brief, edit, and publish SEO-optimised blog posts and service page content (WordPress + Elementor).
- Manage Google Business Profile optimisation and local SEO (Australia-wide positioning).
- Support YouTube and LinkedIn SEO copy where required.

Reporting & Analytics

- Own GA4, Google Search Console, and rank tracking; deliver a clear weekly report to the Head of Corporate Services covering rankings, citations, traffic, and leads generated.
- Tie SEO activity to enquiries and sales pipeline — we measure leads, not just sessions.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–8 years hands-on SEO experience with demonstrable ranking results (you will be asked to show case studies with before/after data).
- Strong WordPress experience — Rank Math, Semrush, Elementor Pro, WP Rocket, Cloudflare.
- Proven technical SEO capability: schema markup (JSON-LD), Core Web Vitals, log/crawl analysis, indexation management.
- Expert with GA4, Google Search Console, and Semrush.
- Working knowledge of AI search optimisation (AI Overviews, GEO/AEO, llms.txt).
- Excellent written English — you will produce and edit content for an Australian B2B audience.
- Self-managed, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently with weekly check-ins.
- Willing to overlap at least 4 hours daily with Australian Eastern Time business hours.

Preferred (Bonus Points)

- SEO experience in B2B technology, IT services, SaaS,



or cybersecurity.
- Experience ranking websites in Australian, or Indian markets.
- Content writing capability for technical B2B topics.
- Google / Semrush / Rank Math certifications.
- Basic HTML/CSS and comfort working with developers on technical fixes.
